Ashley focuses her practice on complex strategic counseling at all stages of a business lifecycle relating to intellectual property, technology, and data.
As a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and a registered patent attorney, she assists clients in securing and monetizing trademarks, negotiating licenses, drafting technology agreements, counseling throughout the software development lifecycle, navigating the patchwork quilt of the data privacy landscape, and filing utility and design patent applications.
Ashley represents clients across a variety of industries, including cloud-computing, SaaS, PaaS, Data as a Service, e-commerce, consumer products, and emerging technologies (such as generative AI and IoT). She assists clients in building a thoughtful, tailored intellectual property portfolio that work for their specific needs. She builds privacy compliance programs from the ground up, advising clients on the complex, ever-changing regulatory scheme and how new technologies, including generative AI) can be leveraged while minimizing risks.
Prior to joining CAS, Ashley practiced at an AM Law 200 firm in Cincinnati, OH. Ashley lives in Cincinnati, OH with her husband, their four kids, and two golden retrievers.
